Award-Winning Journalist

Rebecca Keeler is an award-winning journalist nationally recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) with a Mark of Excellence award for her story, "Owning Her Narrative." She served as editor-in-chief of La Verne Magazine and as a staff writer for the La Verne Campus Times.

About Me

Rebecca Keeler is an award-winning journalist nationally recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) with a Mark of Excellence award for her story, "Owning Her Narrative." She served as editor-in-chief of La Verne Magazine and as a staff writer for the La Verne Campus Times, covering news, arts and community stories.

Rebecca is completing a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a Music minor at the University of La Verne, where she is also a member of the Honors Program.

Currently, Rebecca is producing a 10-part news series in the Campus Times headlined A Line Destination of the Week, exploring notable places in the San Gabriel Valley via the Los Angeles Metro A Line. She thrives on research and storytelling, using creative projects to highlight culture and community.

Outside of journalism, Rebecca enjoys playing the cello and guitar. She considers music a big part of her life and a meaningful way to express her creativity.
